Meet Dr. Meagan, chiropractor, acupuncture provider, Pilates teacher, and founder of Peridot Wellness. Growing up as a competitive dancer and soccer player, Meagan had her fair share of injuries. At a young age, she was no stranger to physical therapy, which ultimately inspired her to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic.
As a clinician, Meagan finds one of the more challenging barriers to recovery is active care. Meagan instantly fell in love with Pilates for the specificity of movement, incorporation of breath and alignment. Alignment incorporates the whole body, beginning with the core and extending to the crown of the head, fingers and toes.
Pilates is a critical part of her practice and has seen patients fully recover from disc herniations, frozen shoulders, surgical procedures and joint replacements, dislocations and more.
She highly recommends Pilates for everyone, whether it's injury recovery, prevention, sport enhancement or just part of an active healthy lifestyle.
